How can I see the extent of damage that was repaired?

In most cases you cannot. You would have to really rely on pictures and the damage description to assume the damage. If you wish, you can call our office at (215) 289-0300 and we can try to check if we have any additional information for you. Read more

RideSafely’s bidding has ended. Is my bid the highest?

If a customer has the highest ACTIVE bid at the end of the RideSafely.com end of bidding time, we automatically notify him via e-mail and update his account on RideSafely.com. It is the customer’s responsibility to check his e-mail and bid status by selecting the `My Account` menu and then the `My Bids` option.

If the customer never activated a ‘Pending Bid’, it`s not considered to be the highest and won`t be presented at the auction. To activate a bid the customer must submit a security deposit of $400.00 or 10% of the bid amount (whichever is greater). Up until the RideSafely.com bidding closes, we notify customers via email when they have been outbid, or if they need to activate their bid. We also recommend customers to regularly check their bid status in the “My Bids” page before the bidding ends.

Next, one of our affiliated dealers, on your behalf, bids at the Insurance Auction (closed to the general public). If the bid is accepted by the Insurance Auction, our authorized affiliate dealer acquires the vehicle for the customer.

Can I visit your facility and purchase a vehicle directly on-site?

Vehicles labeled as “inventory items” can be both inspected and purchased at our authorized affiliate dealers. Conversely, most other vehicles are housed at Insurance Auction locations and are not open for either inspection or direct purchase by the general public. It’s important to note that RideSafely operates as an online auto auction platform.

What does ‘Auction Verification’ mean, specifically ‘Runs & Drives’ or ‘Engine Start’?

At times, Insurance Auction staff may confirm a vehicle’s ‘Engine Start‘ ability and ‘Run and Drive‘ status upon intake at their facility. This process typically involves attempting to start the vehicle—with or without external aids like jump-starts or booster boxes—and checking if it can move forward under its own power. However, there is no assurance that the vehicle will be roadworthy or function similarly when retrieved by the buyer.

Please note, that RideSafely does not conduct these verifications and is unaware of the specific methods used by the Insurance Auction staff, such as whether booster boxes or wire splicing was necessary. Consequently, we cannot guarantee the engine’s performance or the vehicle’s drivability.

RideSafely is not liable for the outcome of these verifications, the vehicle’s operational quality, or any subsequent issues. If ‘Auction Verification‘ is not listed for a vehicle, such information was not provided.
