What does this mean if the motorcycle has no title?

No Title on motorcycle…

  • FL CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION for Export Only. US Customers – PARTS ONLY. NO TITLE.
  • Can a title be reissued for street use or does this mean there is no way to fix the bike for road use and just scrap it for parts?
  • The motorbike is perfectly fine but why is there no title? Thank you.

I was trying to bid on a car but it say I have to contact customer service why please?

There could be several reasons why we would ask you to contact us first.

  1. There maybe a potential title issue (parts only, unable to register in your state, etc) – we might want to discuss that with your before you bid.
  2. It could be a heavy duty item and we would need to confirm with your prior to your bid that you will be able to transport it.

Without looking at the item you are trying to bid on, it’s hard to answer. Please feel free to contact us at 215-289-0300 so that we can take a look at that particular vehicle inventory item for you.

What does the ‘TBO’ title mean, and is it only for dealers to bid on?

The term ‘TBO’ signifies ‘To Be Obtained’, which means that the auction house is in the process of securing crucial documents such as the vehicle’s title or lien releases. Bidders do not need to be licensed car dealers to participate in auctions on RideSafely.com.

What is NMVTIS (National Motor Vehicle Title Information System)?

NMVTIS is National Motor Vehicle Title Information System implemented by US Department of Justice. The NMVTIS is designed to protect consumers from fraud and unsafe vehicles and to keep stolen vehicles from being resold. NMVTIS is also a tool that assists states and law enforcement in deterring and preventing title fraud and other crimes.

All states DMV`s report the data to NMVTIS and check against NMVTIS database every time the title is transferred. DMV`s have the right to deem any title branded according to the records in the NMVTIS database.

All Clean title vehicles sold through salvage auctions have a chance of the title becoming salvage when processed by DMV. Please refer to http://www.vehiclehistory.gov for details.
