What is “reconstructed title or rebuilt title”?

When a vehicle is involved in an accident, and salvaged by the Insurance Company, it has to be reconstructed before being placed back on the road. After the vehicle is repaired, it`s inspected by an authorized mechanic and certified by the DMV as reconstructed to manufacturer specifications. The DMV issues a `reconstructed` title, which is treated the same way as a “clean” title regarding registration and insurance purposes. Please note http://www.ridesafely.com does not guarantee that all title denominations can be reconstructed in any particular state or country. Please refer any title questions to your local DMV.

Why did I receive a different type of title than the one described, specifically an equivalent title from a different state?

According to the Purchase Order Agreement, RideSafely.com does not assure specific title types. Customers may receive a title equivalent to what’s listed in the item’s online description, despite minor variances in type or designation. For instance, an Arizona Salvage Certificate might be replaced with a Nevada Salvage Title due to local laws or regulations requiring title transfer to another state by our affiliate dealers or insurance companies. These variations do not affect the title’s equivalence.

When will I receive the title, and how will it be mailed to me?

Title delivery times may vary due to factors such as auction title submission, processing volumes, DMV backlogs, etc. We advise factoring in these potential delays when planning title transfer or vehicle shipment.

For U.S. and Canadian customers, titles are sent via USPS regular mail. Expedited options with tracking are available for an additional fee: USPS Priority with Signature (2-3 days – $7.40) and USPS Express (1-2 days – $18.11). FedEx/UPS services are also offered (rates from $10 to $25, contact us for exact pricing). International clients must provide a non-PO Box U.S. address for title delivery.

*RideSafely.com may use a comparable delivery service as necessary. Titles are processed sequentially as received.

Can I have the title mailed to an address/name different from the address/name on my account?

Yes, title mailing details can be adjusted. However, you must request any changes to the address or name in advance via phone or email. By default, the title will be issued to the account holder’s name and sent to the registered address. Should you need the title sent to your shipping company, please inform us ahead of time!
