What is “reconstructed title or rebuilt title”?

When a vehicle is involved in an accident, and salvaged by the Insurance Company, it has to be reconstructed before being placed back on the road. After the vehicle is repaired, it`s inspected by an authorized mechanic and certified by the DMV as reconstructed to manufacturer specifications. The DMV issues a `reconstructed` title, which is treated the same way as a “clean” title regarding registration and insurance purposes. Please note http://www.ridesafely.com does not guarantee that all title denominations can be reconstructed in any particular state or country. Please refer any title questions to your local DMV.

When will I receive the title, and how will it be mailed to me?

Title delivery times may vary due to factors such as auction title submission, processing volumes, DMV backlogs, etc. We advise factoring in these potential delays when planning title transfer or vehicle shipment.

For U.S. and Canadian customers, titles are sent via USPS regular mail. Expedited options with tracking are available for an additional fee: USPS Priority with Signature (2-3 days – $7.40) and USPS Express (1-2 days – $18.11). FedEx/UPS services are also offered (rates from $10 to $25, contact us for exact pricing). International clients must provide a non-PO Box U.S. address for title delivery.

*RideSafely.com may use a comparable delivery service as necessary. Titles are processed sequentially as received.
