Can I buy a vehicle outside of the auction for a ‘Buy It Now’ price, or do I have to bid?

To utilize the ‘Buy Now’ option on our website, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Buy Now’ button on the vehicle’s page to access the ‘Buy Now’ menu.
  2. Click on the ‘Buy Now’ button again to view all associated fees with the purchase.
  3. Verify the total cost and accept the conditions outlined in the Purchase and Deposit Agreements by selecting the ‘Confirm’ button. It’s essential to thoroughly review the Purchase Agreement and Deposit Agreements to ensure you fully understand the terms before you proceed.
  4. Leave a credit card deposit of either $600 or 10% of the ‘Buy Now’ price (whichever is greater). The system will guide you to leave the appropriate deposit, initiating the purchase process. A member of our Customer Service team will then contact you to finalize the ‘Buy Now’ procedure.

Important Considerations:

  • The ‘Buy Now’ process reserves the vehicle for you on our website only. Full payment is required to finalize the purchase and secure the vehicle from the auction.
  • Until payment is made at the auction, the vehicle remains available for purchase by any dealer. Prompt payment increases the likelihood of successfully securing the vehicle on your behalf.
  • In the event payment is received after the vehicle has been sold at the auction, your account will be credited with the full amount for a refund or future use.
  • Be aware that some auctions allow only one business day for vehicle pick-up after a ‘Buy Now’ purchase before storage fees apply. Please be prepared to pick up the vehicle promptly, noting that most auctions are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • If we are unable to purchase the item before it is sold at the auction, please inform us whether you would like us to attempt bidding on another vehicle for you.

If I win the bidding, do I have to pay the buy it now price?

When you win a bid with RideSafely, you’ll pay the final sale price of the item plus applicable fees, such as an auction fee, a RideSafely service fee, and a documentation fee. Note that ‘Buy It Now‘ and participating in auction bidding are separate purchasing options.
