Can I drive a repossessed vehicle home?

We strongly recommend against driving any vehicle directly from the auction, especially those listed with repossession-related titles such as:

  • AL CLEAR REPOSSESSED
  • MO CERTIFICATE OF TITLE – REPOSSESSED

These vehicles are typically:

  • Uninspected and may pose safety risks
  • Unregistered, making it illegal to operate them on public roads
  • Mechanically uncertain, as they may have been inactive or poorly maintained

Even if a repossessed vehicle is labeled as “runs and drives,” that does not guarantee roadworthiness or compliance with your state’s registration laws.

For your safety and to remain in compliance with local regulations, we recommend arranging professional transportation or towing for all vehicle purchases from the auction.

If you have any questions about repossessed vehicles at auction, our RideSafely support team is ready to assist you. Please feel free to call us at (215) 289-0300 for immediate support.
