Why don’t they specify the type of mechanical damage if a car is listed with it?

Please be aware that insurance auctions do not perform inspections or mechanical checks on vehicles. The information listed, including any noted mechanical damage, is provided by the seller. Sellers may include motor insurers, MGAs (Managing General Agents), TPAs (Third Party Administrators), car rental companies, finance houses, fleet management operators, and accident management companies. To obtain more detailed information about a vehicle, we recommend conducting a search via Carfax, AutoCheck, or by the VIN. For a comprehensive understanding of what constitutes mechanical damage, please visit our “Definition of Mechanical Damage” section.
