How can I be sure that a car runs and drives?

The term “Auction Verification,” specifically “Runs and Drives,” simply indicates whether a vehicle was able to start; however, it does not guarantee the vehicle’s overall running condition. The verification process conducted by the insurance auction staff and includes:

  • Engine Start: Checking if the vehicle’s motor starts, with or without a jump, and if it idles properly.
  • Gear Engagement: Confirming that the vehicle can engage both forward and reverse gears.
  • Steering Check: Ensuring the steering wheel can make a full rotation in each direction.

Please note: At RideSafely, all vehicles are sold “as-is, where is – all bids are binding and all sales are final.”
