If I win a bid on an out-of-state car, can I drive it home?

We strongly advise against driving the vehicle home directly from the auction.

While it may be tempting to drive the vehicle, there are several important reasons why it should be transported instead:

  • Unknown Operational Condition: Auction vehicles may have been sitting for extended periods and could have unresolved mechanical or safety issues.
  • No Temporary Registration or Plates: In most cases, the vehicle is not legally registered for road use at the time of pickup.
  • Liability and Safety Risks: Driving a vehicle without proper inspection or registration can lead to fines, breakdowns, or safety hazards.

Instead, we recommend using a licensed transporter to deliver the vehicle to your location.

What Happens After Pickup?

Once your vehicle is picked up, the auction facility will send us the title for reassignment. As soon as we receive it, we’ll process and forward the title to you.
