When I buy a car with an out-of-state title, is it considered an in-state title in my state after you transfer the title to me?

Purchasing a car with an out-of-state title does not automatically convert to an in-state title upon transfer to your name. When you receive the title from us, you must actively register the vehicle in your state and submit all necessary documents to your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The car will retain its out-of-state title status until it is officially registered in your name and you receive a new title and registration plates from your state. For guidance on this process and the required documents, please contact your local DMV or the nearest auto tag agency.

If you require further assistance with title transfers or registering an out-of-state vehicle, please feel free to reach out to our support team. Contact RideSafely directly at (215) 289-0300 for expert help and guidance.
