Why didn’t I win if I was the leading bidder?

If you were the highest bidder during the live auction but did not immediately win the vehicle, it is likely because the vehicle is “On Approval.”

When a vehicle is listed as On Approval, it means the seller (or auction house) must review the highest bid before making a final decision. Even though you submitted the top bid, the sale is not yet finalized.

What Does “On Approval” Mean?

  • The seller is reviewing the highest bid.
  • The vehicle has not officially been sold yet.
  • The seller can accept, reject, or counter the offer.

How Long Does the Approval Process Take?

The review process typically takes 24 to 48 hours, but in some cases, it may take slightly longer depending on the auction house and seller response time.

Once a final decision is made, you will be notified immediately by the RideSafely team.
