Does participating in auctions cost anything?
Accessing and browsing vehicle auctions on RideSafely are completely free.
There are no membership fees, and you can place bids or use the Buy Now option at no cost.
Participation Deposit
To take part in a live auction, a refundable deposit is required. You must place the greater of:
- $600, or
- 10% of your intended bid amount
This deposit ensures bidding integrity and will be applied toward your purchase or refunded if you do not win.
What Happens If You Win?
If you successfully purchase a vehicle, additional fees will apply:
- RideSafely Buy Fee: $299 (applies to purchases over $1,000)
- Documentation Fee: $150
- Covers title transfer services
- Includes 2nd-day FedEx shipping for U.S. addresses
- Auction Fee: Varies based on bid amount and auction type
